We used this hotel on our visit to Alchi. It is excellent location close to Alchi Monastery. The room was comfortable and clean. The food was good and the hotel was excellent in helping us make food for our kids. Staff was professional. Very convenient as a stop in Alchi.
Mid-September we stayed here. There are two buildings. We had rooms in the new part (definitely a difference) spacious rooms with a small balcony, good beds, weak wifi. Plenty of daylight, and well-kept room, with bottle of water in the room, kettle for tea or coffee. Book breakfast and dinner in advance, good and varied food, super tasty. Helpful staff. Near the hotel is the Kora (pilgrim's tour), nice to follow..
I had decided to stay two days to get acclimatized so choose this quaint hotel in alchi. We landed in leh and took a taxi to reach in 1 hour. The hotel has good architecture and it's in a peaceful area. We took the MAP plan - but to note - they send only veg even no EGGS! Good food but font feel so hungry at that altitude We found the room to be nice and they also gave an extra mattress for our 10 y son. It is peaceful and relaxing and we just lounged around the entire day We took our lunch at their nearby restaurant - nice variety of food. The best part was the hospitality of taking us to lamayuru by their manager! Would definitely recommend and go again! The owner norboo is there all the time and I think that makes a lot of difference!!.
Best location. Walking distance from Alchi monastery. Very peaceful. Food is awesome. The owner, manager and staff are friendly. Staycation is highly suggested. This location is not very far from Leh. The monastery nearby is not too big but has very old and beautiful paintings..
